Specialised Marine Support and its associated tourism company Seafari Adventures fit out RIBs and other vessels at their modern, well equipped workshops at North Ballachulish. The workshop team have extensive manufacturing and fabrication experience which when added to our extensive operational experience in the commercial boating environment particularly with RIBs we can offer practical solutions to ensure your RIB fulfils the required operational criteria.

We believe our in field experience allows us to appreciate the problems from a practical perspective.
The operational experience SMS draws on to ensure the best possible design and build of your RIB includes tourism (where we started), renewables (wind wave and tidal contracts), cable laying (Briggs Marine), lighthouse maintenance (NLB), Fisheries Protection (Marine Scotland), Science Research (Scottish Association for Marine Science) and Pilotage (Glensanda Super Quarry).

Our design and build team look for challenges and work with customers to provide solutions that are customer friendly and viable within the operational field. We do not build many RIBs. We are not a production line with the sole intention of churning out vessels. We offer full manufacturing and operational support to our customers.
